August 8 marked one year since the Lahaina Fires in Maui burned approximately 6,500 acres and caused extensive destruction and displacement.

The wildfire severely impacted the Lahaina community, damaging or destroying over 2,200 structures - 96% of which were residential properties - including significant portions of the historic downtown area.
